Immigration Laws Shift New York Population

Recently the Bush Administration and the United States raised Visa fees 66%. The law that raised the immigration fees is changing the face of immigration law in New York. Immigration is beginning to alter. New York is expected to see less diversity and mom-and-pop entrepreneurship in the future. This overhaul has been likened to the city’s loss of population in the 1970’s. Many people are upset about the change, as individuals love the diversity and the melting pot that they call New York City. Changing immigration law in New York could certainly change the cities dynamic, and that scares residents. Many are fearful of the consequences of the price change of the Visa.
