Professor and Attorney Rahul Manchanda
has worked for one of the largest law firms in Manhattan, where he focused on asbestos litigation. At the
United Nations Commission on International Trade Law ("UNCITRAL") in Vienna, Austria, Mr. Manchanda was exposed to international trade law, arbitration, alternative dispute resolution, and comparisons of the American common law with European civil law. He later worked for one of the largest multi-national law firms in Paris, France, where he focused primarily
on international arbitration, arbitration agreements, the enforcement of foreign arbitration awards against multinational parent corporations, piercing the corporate veil, arbitration venue choice, and foreign policy. In Paris, Mr. Manchanda analyzed and compared the American legal system with its British, French, Russian, German, and Chinese counterparts. Mr. Manchanda
also has extensive technical
experience in Federal Patent
Prosecution and Intellectual
Property issues, and has

In December 2006 Mr.
Manchanda traveled
extensively throughout Iran
with an American good will
organization. Upon his
return Mr. Manchanda
reported to the FBI,
Congress, the Senate Foreign
Relations Committee, and
other domestic and foreign
agencies about the need for
the United States to
abandon, stop, and cease
Colonialist and Empire-like
behavior around the globe,
in favor of more peaceful
negotiations, mutual
respect, and diplomacy to
cure the problems in the
Middle East and the world,
rather than resorting to
oppression, bloody wars, and
conflict. For this report,
entitled
Reframing
Iran: Views from the Field, Mr.
Manchanda has received
vicious criticism and
character assassination attacks from
Neo-Conservative movements
and other foreign and
domestic entities, who are
intent on going to war, in
which millions of innocent
men, women, and children
would suffer and die
needlessly, while further
bankrupting this nation and
consequently, the world. You
can read some of his
landmark reports
and work
here.
The report was submitted to
the US Department of State,
Congress, Members of the
Administration, and Local
and Regional Government
Officials. The report
received unprecedented
recognition both here and in
Iran, where the report has
been translated into Farsi
and widely disseminated.
